It’s been a while since I published the last blog post here – to be more precise, it’s been a whopping 8 months!
I must apologize for the long break and can briefly explain what was the reason for the off time.
My colleagues and I have been working since the middle of last year on the biggest release of a Filemaker database to replace an older system. We have incredibly many program routines built in everything prepared and made the imports of the old data, actually thought of everything, so we thought.
However, the rollout in January 2022 showed us that there were still a lot of things “hidden” in the old system that were still needed.
So we worked every day since January to complete the new system so that all users can use their functions as usual (but with the current technical possibilities of Filemaker).
Now not everything is done, but we are now on the finish line and so I will hopefully have time to publish more articles for my blog – at least that’s the plan..
